The course offers continuing or recent graduates from either creative or ‘ fashion business’ degree programmes an opportunity to either enhance their skills and employment prospects, or move into the fashion sector in roles such as buying, retail management or branding. The course is offered to professionals from within the creative sector with several years' experience. You will normally have a first degree in a fashion or textiles orientated creative/business discipline and been involved in business and managerial roles or are seeking to move into these areas.

The course embraces a cross-disciplinary ethos. You will be encouraged to engage collaboratively with peers, colleagues and outside agencies, where appropriate. A sophisticated and comprehensive understanding of the subject will be developed in addition to the ability to demonstrate, through practice, innovative international fashion management strategies.

  • A good Honours degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent.
  • Alternative qualifications and/or significant experience may be accepted, subject to approval.
  • The course does not require students to have a ‘creative’ portfolio of design work and students will be accepted from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • All suitably qualified applicants are normally interviewed or considered for admittance under alternative arrangements. Interview will be by portfolio of practice based and/or theoretical work and a statement of intent.
