This course is designed to give you the opportunity to specialise in one of two main computer games themes: programming or design. If you’re interested in concept art, 2D and 3D animation, character modelling and level design then the design option is for you. If your interests are in game mechanics, for example artificial intelligence, physics and game engine design, then the programming route is more suitable. UoH places a heavy emphasis on ’learning through doing’ in a studio environment. Here you can develop your chosen specialisation and also join a team of fellow students to work on simulated games production.
