
Interactive media is an integral part of our daily lives - from web page interactivity, streaming video from YouTube and 3D animated characters on TV adverts through to mobile phone applications and interactive museum kiosks. This niche sector of the computing industry is booming and demand is high for graduates who have a range of skills in animation and special effects, 3D character animation, web graphics, web development and programming as well as those who can manage projects, employees and clients.

The course allows you to develop along creative (designer) and/or technical (developer) lines and encourages a high degree of autonomy and work choice as the course progresses. UoH has anincreasing involvement with local industries and government and many module assignments originate as real briefs from real clients. The graduates quickly work their way up to management positions and frequently return as employers to request students for placement or newly qualified graduates for employment.

The wide range of media products, from graphics, video and special effects through to programmed applications, ensures a wide and flexible career for any multimedia professional. Specific requirements for this course are normally one of the following:
- In the region of 240 points which must include two passes at A level, Vocational A level or equivalent.
- MMM in National Diploma, plus GCSE Mathematics or equivalent.
