
Fashion and Textile Retailing is one of three inter-related courses which provide a unique blend of design sensitivity and business insight leading to exciting and diverse career opportunities. By focusing on the business and management aspects of fashion and textiles, the courses recognise the new opportunities within this innovative and progressive industry. The courses have a common core in the first two years to provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge of retailing and management related to fashion and textiles. During the final year you can choose to specialise in buying, management or retailing.

Employment opportunities for our graduates include retail management, merchandising management, visual merchandising and store management. Recent graduate employment destinations include head office positions within Next, Arcadia and Tesco. |
Specific requirements for this course are normally one of the following:
- Successful completion of a foundation course in Art and Design.
- 280 points gained at GCE awards or Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education (AVCE) A level or equivalent.
- An EdExcel/BTEC National Diploma with a distinction and merits in a relevant subject.
- Passes in GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above are also required.
- In addition to the above, strong emphasis will be placed on your verbal communication skills during the interview.
