This course is professionally orientated and prepares you for design practice in the multi-disciplinary area of spatial design. The course and Interior Design share a common Year 1 and Year 2 approach. You’ll move towards an individual focus, or specialisation, in the final stages. Practical design project work is normally based on vocational topics and you’ll develop your skills, knowledge, understanding, approach and individual design philosophy. Some of the issues we cover include international culture and context, regeneration/renewal, environment/sustainability, visual styling and branding, new technologies, and communication.
