On this course you'll gain hands-on experience in creating and deploying web applications, and a solid understanding of web design principles and practice. This forward thinking degree is designed to address the rapidly expanding market of web-based systems. Your understanding of the web and its enabling technologies, including networking, database development and interactive multimedia content, will be valuable to the many businesses involved with interactive multimedia content. This includes streaming audio and video systems, and e-commerce services. The course has been designed around a thematic structure designed to give you a solid grasp of all the key areas including the web, multimedia, development, databases and network implementation.

Practically based, you'll work from our excellent laboratory facilities on key areas of web design and digital creativity, where you'll get to explore your creative design skills. Run by friendly, experienced staff, areas in web development and network implementation will be covered, as well as streaming media formats. Understanding how databases work with web technologies further boosts your marketability. This flexible course offers you personalisation too, with optional units spanning themes from animation and 3D, web usability and curriculum plus. Your 'learning by doing' helps to maintain our excellent graduate employment rates. The industry is looking for graduates like you, who will be familiar with web application technologies. Admission Requirements & Selection
  • 160 UCAS Tariff points (excluding General Studies and Key Skills) with at least one A Level in a design discipline at Grade D or above, or equivalent.
  • Students without one of the qualifications indicated above will be considered on the basis of assessing previously achieved formal qualifications, experiental learning and work-related experience.
  • Equivalent qualifications may also be considered
