The Sheridan Interior Design program will begin offering a bachelor’s degree in the 2010-11 academic year, becoming just the third interior design college program in Canada to offer a bachelor’s degree. This innovative program has always kept pace with rising professional standards in the interior design industry. Sheridan is recognized by the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO).
Sheridan’s Interior Design bachelor’s degree will provide the practical, hands-on training and creative approach that built our reputation on, while also introducing more theoretical and research components. You’ll learn:

- Project management
- Sustainability and socially responsible practices
- Architectural standards
- Lighting and HVAC systems
- Residential, corporate, commercial, hospitality, and other related sectors
- Fire, safety and local Building Codes
- Professional business practice
A Professional Learning Environment: Sheridan applied interior design principles to its own learning environments. They’re designed to look and feel like professional spaces, rather than classrooms. Interior design is a mobile computing program, which means you’ll have unlimited access to software, class lecture notes, PowerPoint presentations, reading lists, assignment outlines, and all other course resources — whether you’re on campus or off. See the Mobile Computing page for details. Sheridan organize an annual field trip to New York, plus occasional trips to Chicago and other locations. You’ll even have an opportunity to take courses in Italy throughout the spring/summer session.
Above all, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll work with practicing interior design professionals who have extensive industry experience. You’ll also get a hands-on interior design education, graduating with an applied degree and a set of skills that translate directly to the workplace

While many of our graduates go directly into established architectural or interior design firms, many other career paths beckon, including: Government planning, Facilities management, Real estate development, Manufacturing, Independent consulting and Product representation for suppliers dealers or manufacturers |
