FCC's Specialized Associate Degree provides a fundamental grounding in fashion design and technology, including an introduction to design theory, fashion history, and apparel production. While course requirements vary for a passing grade, in general, students are required to take a midterm and final, complete homework assignments, and demonstrate proficiency in apparel design. Lasting approximately 18 months, a Specialized Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Technology offers 97.5 quarter credits that spotlight both general education and fashion courses.

Career Opportunities

The school assists students in job placement through advising, arranging interviews and instruction in career development. Both Business and Design graduates benefit from FCC’s many close contacts with industry professionals. Due to the small size of FCC, placement services are personalized and available to students during scheduled hours.

Students receive detailed instruction and practice in interview techniques, as well as skill assessment and resume preparation from the Career Services Director. Students are individually counseled regarding their background experiences and future potential. Admission Requirements & Selection

  • Completion of Application Form for Admission 
  • Typed Educational Objectives Essay 
  • Possession of high school diploma or GED translated into English 
  • A minimum score of 19 on the Wonderlic test (timed at 12 minutes) 
  • Payment of non-refundable application fee 
  • Completed personal interview with Admissions Director
