
Sheridan's bachelor's degree in design, offered jointly with York University, combines practice and theory to create a truly unique design degree. The program’s rigorous design course sequence emphasizes innovation, creativity, and strategic thinking. You’ll develop outstanding ideas as well as the skills to execute them. You’ll also get the practical experience and professional contacts to launch a career in graphic design, product design, digital media, broadcasting, or another related field.

Convergence of Technology and Culture: In Sheridan/York’s design program, you’ll attend courses at both institutions simultaneously, gaining a broad liberal-arts background at York and rigorous, hands-on studio instruction at both institutions. Program highlights include:

The fourth year includes a professional internship in a design firm that may be located in Toronto (the world’s third-largest design centre), New York, Los Angeles, or even overseas. Bachelor of Design students should expect to spend approximately – per year for materials, pl in the final year for the Graduate Show. The future of design lies in the convergence of technology with elements of social science, psychology, pop culture, and business. Career OpportunitiesOver the past three years, 96% of Sheridan Bachelor of Design graduates have found industry-related employment. - Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of six Grade 12 (U or M) courses, including Grade 12 (ENG4U) English, and at least one Grade 12 (U or M) course from one of the following disciplines: Canadian and World Studies; Classical Languages and International Languages; French: Mathematics; Social Science and Humanities or Native Studies.
- Applicant Selection: Eligible applicants are selected on their previous academic achievement and the results of their portfolio interview. Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.Candidates will be invited to attend a portfolio interview.
